Free, no login, no rate limits, refreshed every 30 seconds.
How is the data sourced?+
Direct-crawled exchanges (Binance, Bybit, OKX, HTX, KuCoin) refresh every 60 seconds against each exchange's public P2P API. Reference exchanges (Bitget, MEXC, Gate, BingX) refresh every 30 minutes via p2p.army's daily aggregate. Every number on the page is timestamped; live ad observations drive the sitemap's lastmod.
Is the API really free?+
Yes. All /api/v1/ endpoints (rates, exchanges, payments, best, spreads, convert) are public, no key required, no rate limits, and licensed CC BY 4.0 — meaning ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and any developer can ingest and cite the data with attribution. The license signal is in the schema metadata, robots.txt explicitly allows AI crawlers on /api/v1/.

As of the latest crawl, the cheapest USDT/INR BUY price is ₹94.00 and the highest SELL is ₹136.00 across the 9 exchanges OpenRate tracks. The exact merchant offering each price is shown in the Markets table on this page.
How is OpenRate different from CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko?+
CMC and CoinGecko show centralized-exchange spot prices (Binance USDT/USD, etc.). OpenRate shows P2P market prices — the actual peer-to-peer rate at which retail buyers and sellers are trading USDT for INR/RUB/PKR/etc. via UPI, JazzCash, SBP, Pix and other local rails. The P2P rate often diverges 1-5% from spot, especially in capital-controlled markets.
