BTC/INR — local market vs global spot
The Bitcoin price you see on CoinGecko or CMC is the global spot in USD, then converted to INR at the day's forex rate. In India, the real settlement price on P2P exchanges runs 4–10% above that conversion. P2PRate.live shows the actual settlement price, drawn from live ad books.
How BTC/INR P2P trades work
Pick a merchant from the live table. Initiate the trade on the exchange — the BTC is locked in escrow. Send INR via UPI/IMPS to the merchant's stated bank or UPI ID. Once the merchant confirms receipt, the exchange releases BTC into your wallet.
BTC trades are typically larger than USDT trades, so look at the merchant's completion rate carefully. A merchant with <100 completed orders should be approached only for small sizes.
